Ben Hudson
Systems Engineer
My name is Ben Hudson and I am a systems engineer. I work on spacecraft analysis and design, supporting activities throughout the mission lifecycle. I have a particular specialty in Attitude and Orbit Control Systems (AOCS).
My professional background:
I have a first class MEng degree in Aeronautics and Astronautics from the University of Southampton, during which I completed two placements with KISPE. Since graduating I have been at KISPE as a spacecraft systems engineer, working on internal and external customer programmes.
Outside of day-to-day work, I am involved in a number of projects related to the development of a space-based radio telescope to observe supermassive black holes. As part of this work, I have presented papers at two conferences (IAC 2022, ngSVLBI 2022) and have published a peer-reviewed journal article. I am also contributing to a mission proposal which will be submitted to a major space agency in the near future.
What I enjoy doing:
In my spare time I enjoy swimming, hiking and reading books across a wide range of genres.
