Office Manager

I joined KISPE in early 2020, just prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, which was an interesting time to join a new company! How time has flown!

As KISPE's Office Manager I coordinate and manage the day to day functionality of the team, finance, and office, including HR and IT. I also provide support to customers and their projects where required.

When I was young I wanted to be a pilot and a nurse – and I feel very happy to have had the opportunity to embrace my desire to care for those around me, whilst in flight. 

In my spare time I like to hang out with my cat Stella, explore the South Downs on foot and cook for my friends.

My professional designations and accomplishments

For 10 years, I was Senior Cabin Crew with Virgin Atlantic where I was able to fine tune my customer service, adaptive decision making and team working/management skills whilst traveling to some amazing places and meeting people from different background and cultures.

After leaving Virgin Atlantic I gained a wide range of soft and hard office skills before joining a satellite imagery and data analytics startup company. That's where I had my first taste of the Space Industry - and I loved it!

I managed a wide range of interpersonal, safety and critical issues when I worked as cabin crew, utilising Aviation medicine, safety and emergency procedures and real-time problem solving day to day.

I thrive on ensuring the satisfaction of colleagues and customers and helping operations to run smoothly with the minimum of fuss – but I am ready to respond to issues and challenges should they emerge.

When I worked at the imagery and data analytics company I helped the company to scale up, and was in charge of the full employee lifecycle, and procured and managed relationships with external suppliers.

I am also proud of the work I have been doing to support the team during the pandemic: supporting individual team members, ensuring a safe workplace and establishing guidance to help those working from home as well as in the office.

How I contribute to the KISPE customer experience

I get a huge degree of satisfaction from the many internal and external interactions I have on a daily basis, to help people and to support them in their roles and tasks, whether that's from an HR perspective, or ensuring that we have frameworks and tools in place to allow everyone to be able to do their best work.

I love the fact that no two days are the same and that my role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities – from payroll and coordinating IT matters, through to interviewing, onboarding and creating development plans.

It really excites me to be part of a growing team – and to play a key part in recruiting and onboarding new talent and to help to develop our company capabilities.
