Ody Mbonu
Project Manager
I am a Certified and accomplished project manager who has successfully led the delivery of complex projects across multiple sectors, most recently within space applications technology and development.
At KISPE, I support clients with the implementation of management and procurement processes and activities, and I also oversee the delivery of internal projects.
My professional background:
I graduated from the University of Lagos with a BSc (Hons) in Biochemistry and went on to study for an MBA with the University of Liverpool.
Having worked within project management for much of my professional life, I am a member of the Project Management Institute (PMI) and hold the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification – the world's leading project management certification.
I also hold PMI's scheduling professional certification (PMI-SP) and PRINCE2, and I have trained in agile methodologies including Scrum.
I have had the opportunity to lead meaningful projects which contribute to solving global challenges, including very recently, the development and roll-out to 40,000 coffee farmers in rural Kenya and Rwanda, of the ACCORD platform – a technology solution combining Earth observation data and analytics that helps grow increased quantities of better quality coffee!
What I enjoy doing:
I enjoy reading and travelling (when I find the time besides raising my two young children!), and have a strong interest in women empowerment causes. I also love fashion.
How I contribute to the KISPE customer experience
I was drawn to the profession of Project Management because I enjoy engaging with people from different backgrounds, bringing ideas to life, and dealing with a variety of different matters.
At KISPE, I am able to do this and to bring the learnings that I have gained through many years of experience to bear on opportunities and challenges which arise.
